Holy Name Housing was founded by residents of the neighborhoods we service who want to restore the area to its diverse and stable roots.
The mission of Holy Name Housing is "to build a strong community one home at a time. To rebuild North Omaha neighborhoods by providing affordable housing and empowering individuals and families." We believe that every individual deserves respect, regardless of educational status, race, or beliefs, that every Omaha resident has a right to decent and affordable housing in a safe and healthy community, and that owning a home leads to strong community.
Since our incorporation in 1982 as a 501(c)3 non-profit, Holy Name Housing Corporation has been revitalizing North Omaha neighborhoods by renovating old homes and building new homes. Our ultimate goal is to enable low and moderate income families to become homeowners, resulting in well-maintained neighborhoods with residents who are invested in the area and involved in the community.
"By becoming a homeowner, I am showing my kids
that anything is possible if you just set your mind to it."
