Neighborhood Groups are important HNHC partners in a shared vision of strong healthy neighborhoods. These grassroots organizations deal with issues ranging from crime to projects for youth. To protect their investment in a neighborhood, homeowners need to know the neighborhood association in their area and to become involved in their organization’s activities.
If you want to know more about neighborhood associations, their target area and the resources available to them, the following websites are very important:
www.neighborhood-center.org – a listing a neighborhood groups as well as access to important resources for their members.
www.ci.omaha.ne.us – the City of Omaha official website includes a link to the Mayor page. On this page the section on neighborhoods include important information ranging from “how to start you own neighborhood association” to grants available for neighborhood associations.
