Executive Director
Matthew Cavanaugh
Born and raised in Omaha with deep ties to the community, Cavanaugh spent many years in Illinois working in local government and homeless prevention and completing a master's degree at the University of Illinois of Chicago, College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs. His last position was Executive Director of the Nebraska Housing Developers Association where he received and administered development, technical assistance, and housing assistance grants from the Nebraska Departments of Economic Development and Health and Human Services as well as Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka and numerous private and philanthropic donors. A committed and experienced champion for quality affordable housing and active supporter of the affordable housing and nonprofit communities, Cavanaugh served on the Holy Name Housing Corporation Board of Directors for the last 2 years. Cavanaugh also serves on the boards of Midwest Housing Development Fund, Housing in Omaha, and the Nebraska Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence.

Chief Financial Officer
Elaine
Elaine serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Holy Name Housing Corp. She has over 25 years of experience in the finance industry. Although she worked at for-profit businesses for most of her career, Elaine has spent the past ten years working for nonprofit organizations. She is an operations-focused leader who consistently looks to improve efficiencies and transparency for both internal and external customers. Her expertise includes financial analysis, budgeting and strategic planning.

Director of Real Estate Development
Lasha
Lasha Goodwin is a native of North Omaha with a strong passion for housing and community development. She graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha College of Business with a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate and Land Use Economics. Over the past decade, Lasha has gained diverse experience in the real estate sector, including commercial and residential real estate sales, neighborhood planning, non-profit community revitalization, and affordable housing development.
In her various leadership roles, Lasha has successfully promoted access to safe, quality, and affordable housing. She achieves this by empowering targeted populations with essential information, advocating for the dignity of housing, and implementing innovative solutions that enhance the quality of life in neighborhoods. Additionally, Lasha serves as the volunteer coordinator for the Global Leadership Group Omaha and Threshold Continuum of Care.

Construction Manager
Cory
Cory has 28 years of experience in the construction industry. He started out framing homes under the tutelage of his father and worked alongside him and his brothers for ten years before branching off on his own. Cory has always been committed to delivering high-quality construction projects to his customers, including new residential homes, residential remodels, decks, siding projects, and custom cabinetry. Cory has enjoyed a very successful career on his own, but he is excited to be a team member at HNHC where he can make a difference in our community and still do the work that brings him happiness. His background allows him to ensure that each HNHC project runs quickly and efficiently. In this position, Cory oversees all aspects of the construction of new homes developed by HNHC.

Staff Accountant
Heather
Heather is a results-oriented customer service professional with over 15 years of customer service and bookkeeping experience. She has lived in Omaha her whole life. An enthusiastic, tenacious, and initiative-oriented individual who describes herself as self-motivated, persevering, and determined. As a part of the Holy Name Housing team, she feels like she's part of a team that makes a big difference in the community.

Administrative Assistant
Sarah
Sarah has 20 years of experience working with non-profits in the Omaha metro area. The majority of Sarah's experience is community facing helping individuals with self-sufficiency in many different aspects such as obtaining soft skills, resource referrals, and employment assistance. In addition, she has experience with non-community facing work as a staff accountant and daily operations of a training center. She is a highly organized and detailed oriented person. Sarah's goal as the administrative assistant is to make sure that all day-to-day office operations run smoothly. Sarah wants to make sure that all tenants or guests feel welcome.
Board of Directors

A volunteer-member Board of Directors provides guidance to the management and staff of Holy Name Housing Corporation. The board meets quarterly or as needed to review budgets, discuss policy changes, review the mission statement, and update the business plan if needed.

Members of HNHC Board include neighborhood residents, neighborhood business owners and professionals who have an interest and expertise in community development. These members are also on the Board of Holy Name Properties, a wholly owned subsidiary of HNHC that serves as a General Partner for the Partnerships responsible for the Management of HNHC’s housing units.
